Karl Fischer titration is a universal method for water content determination in technical products (plastics, oil, gases), cosmetic products, pharmaceutical products, food products, and many more.

Compared with other techniques for moisture content determination, Karl Fischer titration is selective (i.e., measures only water and no other volatile components). This technique offers a wide measuring range from ppm to per cent and takes only 1 to 3 minutes for a determination. Furthermore, almost any sample can be analyzed.

Place the items that have to be cleaned in the traceCLEAN through the rotating design of the holder, which simplifies the introduction and removal of all items. Select the program or create a new one and press “Start” on the touch screen terminal. A dedicated exhaust system and an automatic loading and cleaning module prevent any operator exposure to acids.

Traditional cleaning methods require several hours and occupy valuable space in the fume hood. The traceCLEAN process ensures a greater cleaning efficiency through freshly-distilled hot vapors of nitric acid that make the metal contaminants leach from the items.

Typical cleaning procedures involve either acid baths or a microwave method to clean digestion vessels, glassware and ICP accessories; these approaches limit productivity and efficiency. The acid steam cleaning process in the traceCLEAN ensures lower blanks and improves detection limits without compromising throughput.

Simply select a stored method and press “START” on the touch screen terminal in order to begin the sub-boiling purification process. Safety and ease of use are ensured by the automatic loading/draining module which minimizes acid exposure.

In trace metals analysis, the use of expensive high-purity acids is often needed. By applying the sub-boiling technology, reagent costs can be reduced of up to 90% by efficiently purifying reagent grade acids into ultrapure acids.

Sub-boiling distillation has demonstrated to be the best technique and the most cost-effective approach in acid purification. Unlike conventional distillation, sub-boiling distillation prevents the formation of spray or droplets and yields very-high purity acids. While standard operations with purchased acids may introduce contaminants during daily activities, the duoPUR allows on-demand acid purification ensuring a continuous supply of fresh high-purity acids.
