In the ultraWAVE, samples are weighed into vials with the suitable reagents, then placed into the rack, which is automatically lowered into the reaction chamber. The chamber is sealed and pressurized with inert gas, which physically acts as a cap for the vials, which avoids the solutions to boil and prevents cross contamination. Microwave energy is applied, all samples are at the same temperature and pressure conditions. At the end of the microwave run, a cooling device rapidly lowers the temperature of the solutions. The entire rack is automatically lifted to facilitate its removal. As a visual aid for the user, the color of the backlight logo indicates the status of the sample preparation process.
A wide range of vials of different volumes and materials, such as disposable glass/quartz and PTFE, ensures to match any application needs in terms of acid chemistry and detection limits. The construction of the vials minimizes the operator’s time and the cleaning cycle, making the ultraWAVE the most productive sample preparation system ever made.
